New product that is available to order immediately, early birds will have this delivered in time to install before ACS.

The spoilers are all CNC cut and drilled for spot on accuracy every time.
The hardware is all stainless steel with nylocks to prevent loosening from vibrations while the hinges are Aluminum to keep the weight down.
Adjustment range should keep everyone happy, the spoiler will adjust between 0º and ~70º.
The cord length is right around 12" along the entire length.

First batch is priced at $230 plus shipping, comes as shown in the pics, adjuster rods are not included.

    Finish looks great!

How thick is the lexan? Hate to see that flex at speed. Or does the miata not go fast enough to worry about that?

What type of struts and how many?
Or is it designed to work without struts? Sorry for the dumb question but I can't figure out form the pics how it resists aero loads.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.

Jim, it's 1/8" which will be plenty strong by the time the struts are installed.

        Emilio -
Struts are required, 3 will probably do just fine (one on each corner, one on center), 4 if you want to make it extra strong.
I thought of including 3 of the adjustable struts that Longacre has at roughly $25 a piece, but realized that for the guys that aren't scared of spending a few minutes on making DIY struts this will just make the product unnecessarily costlier.
You can make some from small aluminum angle in about 10 minutes and 3 dollars using nothing but tin snips and a drill... Or just buy the Longacre ones which are available from many online vendors

I think you should include the struts. Anyone that knows which struts to order, how to drill and mount the backing plates, etc, will know how to make a spoiler in the first place.
You might also look at aircraft spruce to source the strut hardware. Needs moar PnP.

Moti, is that .060 or .090 polycarbonate (makrolon)? If it's .090, two struts will suffice. If it's .060, you'll want three I think.

Think he said 1/8" or. 125" above. Should be pretty stiff as is.

So my gut when I saw the price was that it was a touch on teh high side... welp... I did my own material take off and I got up to 130 bucks in materials damn quickly. I figure it would take me 4-6 hours to put all of this together and get it installed well enough that it didn't look like a pos using my own design methods. Hardly seems worth it when this is basically only 80 bucks more than I would spend doing a total DIY and the finish is easily 5x better.

230 is a damn fine price IMO. Too bad I'm broke as hell due to my dead 6 speed. I'd be all over this in a heartbeat. Oh well... i'll have to pick one up next month when I'm not cash strapped.

Nice design work as always Moti.
