  • 1999 Supermiata S2 "Super"

Supermiata S2 "Super". Originally owned by Emilio at 949 Racing and built by 949 Racing/Supermiata with a lot of winning flat out pedigree. This car is ready to race. Nothing is needed.

This car handles like a dream with everything dialed in. In the most recent race at Auto Club Speedway (05/05/18), William Chen put the car on pole and also won an S2 race even with the car being a little under power.

When I then got the car retuned after ACS, it turned out the car was makingonly 130 whp when it won at ACS. I decided to do the Flex Fuel tune (so I can easily switch between 91 & E85 for enduro/sprint races). The car got a retune by Chris Allen tuning, and the car now makes 140whp on both E85 & 91. It also has a 147 whp high power map for E85.

After picking up the car toward the end of last year. I put in a lot of updates, the car is fully legal to race in 2019 with the new regulations.

Emilio is 6'2 or 6'3, and he fits in the car. This is the seat / mount that was made for him.

If you are thin, 6-2 to 6-4 depending on inseam. I'm very thin 6-3" so I fit with headroom to spare in a padded seat and no floor box. Tall drivers who are more normally proportioned, thicker, can add a welded in box to lower the seat mounting area. Pretty common in Spec Miata. A 6-0 250lb friend had a floor box and Ultrashield in his '90. I could barely see over the dash.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
But obviously I just dont get it. -fatbillybob

The cage in this car for sale was built for me, meaning the main hoop is set well back for seat clearance and long legs.

thanks for the info. Sold my race car last year, but when I decide to jump back in, these seem like an incredible value.
