  • TAG karts rentals?

hey guys! been thinking about getting into go karts and ive read some of the stuff that's been posted on here by emilio and some others. i remember seeing some of the people on here offering kart rentals at button and acs and was wondering if anyone knew someone that still is. those posts now are real old and I wanna try driving one before i decide to buy one.

Aside from their cost I never understood why people race them.
But obviously I just dont get it. -fatbillybob

I've raced karts a few years ago and wanted to get back into it again. A friend of mine was one of the founders of the ProKart Challenge (now part of SKUSA). He told me that if I wanted to be super competitive, I should contact the guys from Aluminos whom are located in Sonoma. I'm from LA so I didn't think that made sense. However, I contacted them and found out that they come down to all of the So Cal ProKart Challenge races for track support. I bought a TAG kart from them and put it on poll in my very first TAG Masters race in the PROKart Challenge at Willow Springs. They literally gave me one of the quickest karts on the grid since I know I'm not the most experienced driver. I finished 2nd in my first two races last year. These guys are the real deal if they can make me that competitive. They also do download sessions after each run to analyze my data on the computer with me. They have a few top drivers working for them as well whom offer coaching and lead-follow. Their driver development program is very serious. They are very humble and low key so don't let that throw you off. Anyhow, I believe they still offer arrive and drive (rentals) for potential new customers. If you are interested, call Rob Soares at (925) 786-7865.

They have a clinic at ACS too Hido, it should be listed on the ACS site. I did it with a bunch of friends, the karts are pretty nutters. Almost nothing like racing a car but incredibly fun.
            Do you understand?

Adams Motors Sports park does arrive and drives too, I cant find any info on the karts specifically, but they do have shifter karts available too.

I typically go there in my street car for time attack on tuesdays though. LOL.

NVM, i found the info, these are the slow karts. I know i've seen them rent the shifter karts before, maybe give them a call.
