    The jet they use to ship the Formula 1 series to a race uses 5 gallons of fuel per mile, not miles per gallon. Context is king.

      Good catch.

      And this particular point was pretty wide of the mark - as if the actual amount of fuel savings were the point of the new regulations, as opposed to the heuristic attempt to develop and validate new hybrid technology.
